Flames Edge Blue Jackets 4-3

The Calgary Flames spotted the Columbus Blue Jackets to a 3-1 lead, then rallied to tie the game late in the 3rd period before winning their 3rd game in a row.

Center Olli Jokinen opened the scoring with his 5th of the season beating Columbus goalie Steve Mason at 5:29 of the 2nd period after a scoreless first. Rick Nash and Marc Methot scored a minute apart midway through the period to take the lead 2-1. Then right winger Jared Boll popped in his 3rd of the year with half a minute left in the 2nd.

Dustin Boyd and Nigel Dawes got Calgary back into the game with goals in the latter half of the 3rd period sending the game to overtime which solved nothing, although the Flames had 4 shots on Mason, while the Blue Jackets got 3 on Curtis McElhinney.

In the following shot out, 5 of the 9 shots taken went in, with Jamie Lundmark finally scoring the decider, completing Calgary's comback.
