David Jones Scores Twice Powering Colorado Over The Flyers 5-4
The Colorado Avalanche jumped out to a 2-0 lead in less than 5 minutes in their game against the Philadlephia Flyers on goals by David Jones and Peter Stastny, but the Flyers kept coming back. Daniel Briere scored twice himself and had a pair of assists, but the Flyers fell short, losing 5-4 in Colorado.
The Flyers highscoring center, Jeff Carter had the other 2 Philadelphia goals, but Philadelphia couldn't get the tying goal past Avs goalie Craig Anderson who improved to 13-6-3 this season. Philadelphia's Ray Emery was pulled after the 4th Colorado goal and replaced by Brian Boucher who allowed Jones' game winner. Cody McLeod and Scott Hannan also scored for Colorado who won for the first time in their last 3 games.
