Rod Brind'Amour Undergoes Knee Surgery


Carolina Hurricanes team captain Rod Brind'Amour went under the knife Sept 15th to remove some torn cartilage. Brind'Amour had reconstructive surgery last February on the same knee when he tore his anterior cruciate ligament and was lost to the Canes for the rest of last season. He expects to be ready for the start of the season when the Carolina plays their first game Friday October 10th against the Florida Panthers.

A seasoned veteran, Rod Brind'Amour has 427 regular season goals and 1,114 points up til this season. He also, led the Carolina Hurricanes to a Stanley Cup win in 2005-06 over the Edmonton Oilers.
